Environment

The Wash is part of the Wash & North Norfolk Coast European Marine Site. The Board is represented on the core management group and advisory group. Within the Board’s area there is also a Nature Reserve and Sites of Special Scientific Interest containing extensive areas of foreshore and salt marsh, which supports colonies of birds, seals and wildfowl. The area also includes extensive shellfish beds and breeding grounds and habitats for significant populations of other fish and invertebrate
